Mary & Robby

Mary and Robby are one of those couples that will liven a room wherever they go. Mary has been a long time friend of mine and I had the great honor of helping her decorate for her big day. There are times when work and personal life converge and I actually get to attend one of our weddings as a guest. This was one of those occasions. My boyfriend Matt and I sat in a rolling green field surrounded by horse pastures and meandering live oak trees awaiting Mary’s stroll down the aisle. The setting was breathtaking! I don’t know if it is my love for weddings, natural beauty or simply my love for this friend but I was filled with emotion when she stepped out of her antique car, veil blowing with her father at her side. I get all chocked up thinking about it. She was so beautiful. The whole day was so beautiful! Here are some pictures of the flowers that adorned the barn and bridesmaids. Through the celebrations of love, flowers were made, decor was built, planning commenced, and friendships made. We are truly blessed to have made so many incredible friends this year both through our loving couples and other industry professionals. Just had my wedding at the end of October, and the girls from The Conservatorie did a WONDERFUL job! I am from Pennsylvania and visited a few floral shops when I visited St. Augustine in May to plan my wedding. I knew they were the ones for the job as soon as I met them in May. Great style. When making a statement is the objective, may we suggest a simple solution. An assortment of tall and short centerpiece styles allow your eye to flow through a room naturally. A guests first impression is going to be that of grandior, then followed by the simple details. Take this past weekend for example. Our beautiful bride and groom were married at Palm Valley Gardens in Ponte Vedra, FL. The setting is a perfect union of rustic elegance. These silver, clear and mercury glass containers filled with white hydrangea, lavender, dusty miller, white stock, seeded eucalyptusand dried cotton pods followed suit.

Here’s how the florals rounded up.

Bridal bouquet of garden roses, peonies, lavender, green hydrangea, and ferns.

Pew ends were a simple cluster of flowers tied onto the chairs.

We especially love the flower girl wand. A big puff of a white paper flower with streamers made us want to frolic all week long.

We're Moving!!!!

It’s official! We are moving! For us it’s been a long time coming. The search started a couple of months ago when we realized we have grown. Although we love our little house-style studio on San Marco, we felt like this was a necessary step to helping us continue to grow and offer more services to our clients.

As of November 1st, our new address will be:

900 Anastasia Blvd. Suite E2 St. Augustine, FL 32080
Right next to City Yoga

A few of our future goals include a small scale bridal accessory and supply boutique, a classroom for floral arranging and other crafts, and in house parties (think bridal showers, baby showers, birthday parties).

You can anticipate a grand re-locating party with food, music and flowers in the near future.

Just North of St. Augustine, through meandering roads canopied with live oaks and Spanish moss lies a hidden gem. The Ribault Club of Fort George Island was the location of one of our recent weddings. I remember the first time I drove out to this place to meet with our wonderful bride Amber. Danielle and I were oooo-ing and ahhhhh-ing around every bend. The whole experience encompassed a quintessential old Florida nostalgia. The ambiance of this clubhouse laid the foundation for this elegant gala. Soft creams, whites, mustard yellows, greens and blushes brought a soft elegant look to the centerpieces and bouquets. The little flower girl (pictured below) plucked petals out of her oversized peony as she walked down the aisle. Everything about this wedding was beautiful, with the stunning bride stealing the show.

Jacksonville Magazine Bride's edition

We have been anxiously awaiting the press release of Jacksonville Magazine Bride. We can finally share with you one of our most recent projects. Styling a shoot for Agnes Lopez and the rest of the team at Jax Mag was soooo sooo much fun. The goal was to create two backdrops and overall concepts for the bridesmaids color story and for the uber romantic/feminine bride. Danielle, Meredith and I pulled some late nights with the help of great friends to accomplish both looks. But wait there’s more, both backdrops are now available for all of you planning brides out there.

Noelle and Ryan

Noelle and Ryan have been one of our favorite couples to work with. Just a couple of weeks ago Noelle came by the studio with a little present for us, something she meant to keep for herself but felt that we would appreciate. It was so special. Noelle and Ryan’s wedding was super simple and super amazing. They planned for an outdoor wedding underneath the St. Augustine Lighthouse with a walk down the street to the reception. Every element of the day was fabulous. Our favorite part was when a crowd of people simply walked down the street under the beautiful live oak canopy to the private reception.

We know that you’ve read all about our newest team member, Danielle. But have you heard the other buzz? The Conservatorie now offers Day of Wedding Coordinating! One of our beautiful brides was heard saying, “they know me, they get it… can’t they coordinate my wedding?”. Well now we can. Meredith Davis, our organization goddess divine is now our official event manager. As florists, we find ourselves setting up for weddings over and over again knowing more about the layout, aesthetic and general concept than intended. With this new service, we hope to offer you peace of mind on your wedding day allowing you to host and enjoy your celebration.

Some of Meredith’s coordinating services include facilitating the rehearsal, ensuring day-of timeline is executed according to the flow of the day, communication with all vendors regarding layout and schedule, lining up wedding party and anticipating any hiccups that might occur during the event. To put it simply Meredith’s main objective is to allow you to sit back and enjoy the big day knowing that all the details are taken care of.

Introducing Danielle, Event Designer

Gather round everyone, for I have some wonderful news! One of our very own brides and dearest friends has just joined The Conservatorie team! The most lovely Danielle will be stepping onto this platform with an incredible repertoire of talents. Graphic designer, conceptual artist, installation mastermind, and stylist extraordinaire. A day in the studio with Danielle is full of genius ideas. I’ve seen Danielle take a color pallet and overall style concept and turn it into a modern romantic photo shoot with whimsical draping, props and flowers to coincide. Her ideas for one-of-a-kind archways, backdrops, accessories, unique rehearsal dinners and favors sends me wooing over and over.

Some of the services that Danielle will be offering our blushing brides will include, but are not limited to blueprint/concept designs, vendor recommendations, assistance with invitations, favors, bridesmaids dresses, venue selection, set design, custom built decor elements and the like. Think of her as the creative director behind your event, the one that helps make your vision a reality. Before & After Shop Garden

We had the privileged of working with Philosophie Salon to revamp their outdoor (and indoor) space. Philosophie, located on Rohde Ave in St. Augustine is a quaint little hair salon with an stellar staff. Just thinking about the salon puts me into relaxation mode.
