Flower of the Month Club

Do you just love flowers, or know someone else that does?

According to behavioral research conducted at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, nature provides us with a simple way to improve emotional health - flowers (aboutflowers.com)

We’ve experienced first hand how flowers can brighten just about any stressful day. Opening boxes of flowers shipped straight from our farms feels like opening presents on  Christmas morning.

With a desire to pass that joy onto our lovely customers we are now introducing our Flower of the Month Club. Once a month we will create one of a kind flower arrangements for you to give to those you love or to simply treat yourself.

For more information or to join our club for $50/month simply call or email us and we’ll get you all signed up.

Mary & Robby

Mary and Robby are one of those couples that will liven a room wherever they go. Mary has been a long time friend of mine and I had the great honor of helping her decorate for her big day. There are times when work and personal life converge and I actually get to attend one of our weddings as a guest. This was one of those occasions. My boyfriend Matt and I sat in a rolling green field surrounded by horse pastures and meandering live oak trees awaiting Mary’s stroll down the aisle. The setting was breathtaking! I don’t know if it is my love for weddings, natural beauty or simply my love for this friend but I was filled with emotion when she stepped out of her antique car, veil blowing with her father at her side. I get all chocked up thinking about it. She was so beautiful. The whole day was so beautiful! Here are some pictures of the flowers that adorned the barn and bridesmaids. But to see the whole wedding check out Elizabeth Davis’ documentation of the shindig here

Looking at our blog this morning I realize how long it’s been since we’ve flooded these pages with goodness. There is however a worthy explanation. We’ve been under a re-design. Our website and blog will soon be launched with a fresh new image. Hold tight I promise it will be worth the wait.

Meredith and I would like to take a moment and share a big big thank you to all of our bride and groom’s of this past year!!! We are truly blessed to have made so many incredible friends this year both through our loving couples and other industry professionals. The ladies of The Conservatorie have an understanding of how to make weddings truly beautiful. Their deep knowledge of floral arrangements and design allow them to create something unique and individual for each wedding. The arrangements in our wedding gave character and whimsy to a memorable part of our life. These ladies and their know-how have the best all-around service in the area and they will keep getting better. -Dandyhand

Just had my wedding at the end of October, and the girls from The Conservatorie did a WONDERFUL job! I am from Pennsylvania and visited a few floral shops when I visited St. Augustine in May to plan my wedding. I knew they were the ones for the job as soon as I met them in May. Great style. Fresh and modern. Planning was done by one consultation in person and then by email since I’m 800+ miles away. Everything went very smooth and stress free. -bunjovi

Statement trio

When making a statement is the objective, may we suggest a simple solution. An assortment of  tall and short centerpiece styles allow your eye to flow through a room naturally. A guests first impression is going to be that of grandior, then followed by the simple details. Take this past weekend for example. Our beautiful bride and groom were married at Palm Valley Gardens in Ponte Vedra, FL. The setting is a perfect union of rustic elegance. These silver, clear and mercury glass containers filled with white hydrangea, lavender, dusty miller, white stock, seeded eucalyptusand dried cotton pods followed suit.

Here’s how the florals rounded up.

Bridal bouquet of garden roses, peonies, lavender, green hydrangea, and ferns.

Pew ends were a simple cluster of flowers tied onto the chairs.

We especially love the flower girl wand. A big puff of a white paper flower with streamers made us want to frolic all week long.

*Special thanks to Kate Gardiner Photography for the great shots! Did you know that we now share space with Kate at our new studio on the beach. We simply love her style and are so thrilled to be working so close beside her.

Behind the Scenes

Here are some behind the scenes pictures of our class in terrariums curtesy of La Dolce Vita Studio Photography (We love LDV and know you will too). We had a blast. More classes to come once we settle into our new studio. Stay tuned for wreath making, floral pumpkin arrangements, Thanksgiving centerpieces, and winter fir and flower groupings.
